Our beliefs

Get to know us

  • A Community Centered on Jesus.

We believe that all of life hinges on the good news that God the Father sent Jesus the son to ransom back his creation through the perfect life, death, and resurrection of his son.

  • Mission & Vision

Our vision is to see God's Kingdom advance in Grit, Hurt, Altavista, and to the nations.

  • Two Halves of a Whole

The church is not a building or a weekend event, but a people. We aim to live out the Gospel in Grit, Hurt, and Altavista throughout the week where God has placed us. Outside of this we intentionally gather together each weekend as family celebrating, worshiping, and sitting under the authority of Scripture during our Sunday Gatherings.

Our Community

  • When We Gather

    Sundays + Wednesdays

    >> 10am Sunday School // 11am Worship

Sunday gatherings are the primary way we gather as a church and are a central part of who we are as a community following Jesus.

Through the different elements of a Sunday gathering, such as prayer, expressing adoration for God through music, preaching and teaching the Bible, remembering Christ through communion, and making space to hear from the Holy Spirit, our aim to is make much of Jesus and let him transform us.

    >> 6pm Prayer in the Fellowship Hall

It has been said "When we work we work. When we pray God works." We believe that God has given us the gift of prayer. Prayer is communion with Him that leads to the advancement of His kingdom. Referring to the temple and quoting an OT prophet, Jesus quotes the Father in Matthew 21 when he says, "My House shall be called a house of prayer but you have made it a den of thieves." We believe that each believer and local body is now the house of prayer. And so we desire for God to make himself known as we seek him.
